|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Race | |||||
| Schumacher, Michael (Mercedes Grand Prix) |
|
9 pts | Schumacher was demoted to 22nd on the grid after the team decided to replace the gearbox. Electing to start from the grid rather than the pit lane, the demotion was yet another dampener on a potentially good weekend. |
||
| Ricciardo, Daniel (Scuderia Toro Rosso) |
|
3 pts | Collided with the back of Kovalainen damaging his front wing. Kovalainen received a sliced rear tyre which forced him back to the pits to get new tyres. A slow get away from a relatively high qualifying position meant that Ricciardo was struggling to regain lost ground. His collision with Kovalainen put pay to again gain. Whilst he did not put for a new nose until lap 7, he was to finish 2nd from last. |

| Petrov, Vitaly (Caterham F1) |
|
1 pts | Ran wide and lost time. |
2 | |
| McLaren |

|
5 pts | Retired with engine problems. |
20 | |
| Rosberg, Nico (Mercedes Grand Prix) |
|
3 pts | Rosberg forced Hamilton onto the grass to avoid a collision. Hamilton, who had been in the process of overtaking Rosberg, still manged to overtake whilst using the grass. Both drivers called their teams blaming the other (Rosberg “Hamilton overtook me off the track”, Hamilton “Rosberg forced me onto the grass”. Rosberg was put under investigation after the race but was not punished because he was deemed not to have been alongside Hamilton when he began to move across the track (to overtake another driver). |

| McLaren |
|
5 pts | This was now the thir dpit stop in a row (the 1st being in China) that the left-rear had given issues for Hamilton. The delay cost Mclaren yet further in the failing performance of their two drivers. In a carbon copy of the earlier incident in the pits, the McLaren team continued to have problems with the left-rear tyre. |
25 | |
