The collision with Schumacher meant that the safety car was deployed to allow clear up of the mess and Schumacher was an immediate retirement.

After the race the stewards handed Petrov a 5 place grid penalty for the Indian Grand Prix.

It might not seem like much but it was enough to give Maldonado a drive through penalty. The drivers were not permitted to short cut the pit entry and had to stay on the correct side of the bollards.

Rosberg was summoned to a stewards meeting to investigate. However, Rosberg turned up late and was duly fined for his late arrival. The fine was 10,000 euros of which 5,000 was suspended for 12 months.
