Button was heard to complain on his team radio that Vettel should get a punishment for pushing him off. Vettel was placed under investigation but the stewards found no fault and Vettel was not punished.

Coming out of the Spoon curve, Massa moved up the outside of Hamilton for the next corner. Hamilton, not seeing Massa, moved over and the two collided. The damage was light but a part of Massa’s front wing was removed and his floor was damaged.

The loose parts were in the middle of the track and the safety car was brought out to clear up the mess.

Hamilton, Lewis (McLaren) Unsportsman like driving 3 pts Before beginning his last flying lap of Qualifying, Hamilton lifted off much to the surprise of the drivers behind.

Both Webber and Schumacher were caught out by the move which was no doubt designed to create clean air for Hamilton on his final run. Schumacher had to take the grass to avoid a collision and he later called the action “stupid”.
