Heidfeld, who had just received a drive through penalty for an unrelated incident, attempted to overtake Buemi. In doing so, Heidfeld chose the outside line but Buemi was not looking in his mirrors. The two collided pushing the Renault onto the grass, the nose of the Renault underneath it and Heidfeld, with a small jump, into the gravel. As he slid through the gravel, Heidfeld even managed to express his anger at Buemi.	11

Ferrari	5 pts	On the 59th lap of the race, Massa came in for a pitstop to change to the option tyres. The slow pit stop lost him places. With a head to head against the Redbull pit crew, the Ferrari crew set to work on the Ferrari of Massa. A fast stop would enable Massa to keep his position and finish in front of Vettel. However, it was not to be. During the stop one of the mechanics lost the wheel nut from one of the wheels. This resulted in lost time to get the new wheel on as a new nut was inserted into the wheel gun.	59

Buemi, Sebastien (Scuderia Toro Rosso)	20 pts	Buemi had his qualifying time stripped away from him after his fuel was deemed to be illegal. A segment from the FIA report issued explains: ‘The stewards, having received a report from the FIA Technical Delegate that the fuel sample taken after Qualifying from Car 18 showed an increase in one given gas chromatography Peak Area of an absolute amount greater than 0.1 per cent for the component present at a concentration below 0.8 per cent, and having heard from the FIA Formula One Analytical Chemist and the Team Representatives and examined the fuel test graphs, determine this to be a breach of Article 19.8.3 of the 2011 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations and decide to impose a penalty of exclusion of Car 18 from the results of Qualifying.’
