Force India General Pit stop blunder 5 pts Di Resta’s first stop of the day was a a good one except for the fact his team put his teammates tyres on his car.

In a case of coming in too early or the team not being able to read who’s tyres were for who, Di Resta none the less received the wrong tyres on his car causing significant delay in the pits while the mess was corrected.

di Resta, Paul (Force India) Hit another driver(s) level 4Hit another driver(s) level 4 8 pts Following a disastrous pit stop the rookie Scot was keen to make up time against the pack, in the process he made contact with Buemi.

The result of this was a smash nose on the Force India and a punctured left rear tyre for Buemi. Buemi was forced to retire from the race with the damage to the car too much to continue back to the pits.

Red Bull Racing General Pit stop blunder 5 pts Vettel, pitting from the lead, had a very bad stop with the left rear tyre refusing to cooperate. Vettel returned to the track in 3rd.

McLaren General Pit stop blunderWheel loose 10 pts Button was allowed to leave the pits before the front right wheel nut was correctly attached.

As Button left the wheel almost detached itself a number of times and Button decided it would be better to pull over on the exit of the pits. The team were investigated for an unsafe pit release, which it was, but there was no one left to punish.

Hamilton approached on the inside and gently thumped his way past Massa, Massa won out only to run wide two corners later allowing Hamilton to pass anyway.

Alonso, Fernando (Ferrari) Off the track 1 pts Alonso slid off the track on the entrance to Luffield early in qualifying but managed to recover.

Buemi, Sebastien (Scuderia Toro Rosso) Off the track 1 pts Locked up in the run up to Vale and ended up in the gravel. Buemi was able to turn into the new pit entrance to rescue his session.



 
Kobayashi, Kamui (Sauber) Crash due to driver error level 5 5 pts Kobayashi ran wide coming out of Club and crashed.

In FP1, Kobayashi was in do or die mode (the only mode he has) when he ran wide in Club, staying flat on the gas and running along the curb, the back suddenly stepped out and Kobayashi span and made heavy contact with the tyre wall.
