Alonso moved into the slipstream but failed to move across in time and clipped the back of Hamilton’s Mclaren. Alonso was then forced to pit for a new front wing, and rejoined in 7th. Alonso received a 20-second time penalty from the stewards for this incident, but he remained in 6th place after the penalty was applied	46

Coming into turn 3, Alonso and Button where neck and neck just after the Spaniard had rejoined the track. However, Alonso did not give Button the room to complete the corner and the two touched. Alonso was spun into turn 4 and was beached on the high kerb on the outside of the corner. Button received a damaged nose and a puncture. The incident brought out the Safety Car. The incident was investigated after the race but no punishments were handed out.	37
