Is this the best lap of all time?

Forget the fastest lap ever or the most technically accurate, is the fight between Gilles Villeneuve and Rene Arnoux at the French Grand Prix in Dijon-Prenois the best ever?

July 1st 1979 saw Villeneuve and Arnoux fight it out over second place. Villeneuve, who was in second, fought off a succession of successful over taking moves to keep second place.
