In what is fast becoming the theme of the season, Maldonado has taken the rogue win at the Canadian GP, his second straight win and the 4th of the season! Maldonado is now 33 points clear of his next nearest rival, Vettel and almost double the points of King Rogue Michael Schumacher. Canada is the only race of the season where you can win additional points for crashing into the Wall of Champions. The Williams due of Maldonado and Senna both utilized this opportunity and hit the wall heavily. The wall was fast becoming the Wall of the Midfield when Vettel gave it a light kiss and managed to keep all the corners of his car attached (which is more than can be said of Senna and Maldonado). The top three – Maldonado, Senna and Vettel – we followed up quite nicely by some of the regular back markers with most of the big names not making an impression on the front runners.
